My mother left us, aged 94.
Due to the appropriate Jewish grieving process, plus my usual technical ineptitude, I will not be available at this location until next week.
My mother once asked how long it took us to fly to Hawaii.
"It's about the same as flying to Toronto," I replied.
"Yeah," she came back wistfully, "but when you land, it's Hawaii."
The woman made me. And she made me laugh.

You have my sympathy and condolances
My deepest condolences for you and your family.
I'm so sorry Earl. Take all the time you need.
Earl, my sincere condolences on your loss.
Condeolences, Earl...
So sorry to hear this, Earl. All my best thoughts to you.
I just wanted to add my sincere condolences as well. Just judging based on your TV work I've seen and your blogging, coupled with the fact that she in effect produced you, and then your wonderful little relevant story above, I have no doubt she was a magnificent lady. And no matter the age, enduring such a loss is never something you can be quite completely prepared for imo.
My sympathies to you and the rest of your family...
My sincerest sympathies. Only someone who has lost a mother can understand the loss. I'm sorry for your pain.
I have found that it never matters how old the child is or how old the parent is- the loss is still deep and hard.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Earl, I'm truly sorry for your loss. May her memory be a blessing for you and your family.
Earl; I wish you and your family peace and understanding. It is so hard to lose a loved one. May your memories of her bring you comfort.
I am very sorry for your loss - thinking of you and your family.
I am sorry for your loss. {{{HUGS}}}
Earl,
We all wish you comfort. Her memory will be with you forever.
Earl, I am so sorry for your loss...I'm hoping you're able to share a few more memories of her when you come back- having raised you, she must've been quite a lady.
Sorry for your loss, Ken.
I think she did a fine job of that "making" thing. It's obvious she had humor in those genes.
How long did it take for her to get to heaven? 94 years. And she traveled first class. My condolences.
Sorry To hear about your loss Earl. All the best.
Dear Earl,
My condolences on your loss.
