My Christmas present to all my readers:
More time with your family and loved ones. As there will be nothing here to keep you away.
Have the happiest of once-a-year celebrations!
And remember The Weavers who sang,
"Why can't there be Christmas the whole year around
Why can't there be Christmas the whole year around?"
Merry Christmas to everyone!
And by the way,
Why can't there?

I'm not crazy about the stories you hear that, supposedly, highlight "the true meaning of Christmas" when the stories are about people helping out at a homeless shelter or feeding the poor or even just being kind to others. That is NOT the true meaning of Christmas. That is the true meaning of being human and should happen year round (as Earl and The Weavers say). The true meaning of Christmas, on the other hand, is that a baby was born who was God with us (as Linus would say). If that annoys some, then they can stop saying they are celebrating Christmas and start celebrating Winter Gift Season. That's fine, too.
