Caption the following photo, eschewing the traditional
commemorative snapshot showcasing my deepening creases and receding hairline:

May I face the future
As boldly
As the hotshot goalie
I once imagined myself to be.
(Or imagine now I
imagined I was.)

ReplyDeleteHave a good one. Fight the good fight against deterioration.
I'm not quite clever enough to come up with a witty caption, but I wanted to wish you happy birthday and congratulations on the recent grandchild. Thank you for your blog. It's a big part of my day.
ReplyDeleteThey can take the Canadian out of Canada but they can't take Canada out of the Canadian...or something like that! Happy Birthday old fella!

Happy Birthday Cousin Earl. All the best to you and congratulations on the birth of your grand daughter, Golda. I like to think she's named after your Mom. I so miss Gertie. I have to tell you that when my first was born, I called your Mom regularly. She made me laugh a lot and helped me enjoy my new role and lighten up a bit. I do so miss her laugh and think of her often. Anyway, I digress. Eat cake and enjoy your day. Fondly,Cousin Andrea.
ReplyDeleteAnother great SAVE by Pomerantz!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Earl, and thanks for all you do.
