Our theme was the Universe (really) and my team, the Sun, was "burning" all the others. In the middle of a game that covered the entire camp acreage, I raced past a friend who was also the head counselor. He was sitting on the steps of the office, looking very dejected. <BR/>"Max!", I cried. "The program is going great, everyone's having a ball and you look as though you lost your best friend...what's wrong?"<BR/>And Max, sadly, said. "I just realized this is my last year at camp. While the majority of Japanese were not Christians, Nagasaki was, in fact, the home of <A HREF="http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig5/kohls8.html" REL="nofollow">the largest Christian church in the Orient</A> and many, many Christians. The "Christian" Americans, with the blessing of their "Christian" chaplain, managed in 9 seconds to do what the Japanese government had failed to do for over 200 years, namely wipe out the Christians in Nagasaki.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
