You pay a really low premium, and if you die before a certain age - say, 50 - your family will collect. The company makes money off all the people who dont die before said age. It's useful, because dying before a certain age could put an undue burden on wife, kids, etc. who depend on your income, for example.

Essentially, you are betting that you will die young, and the insurance company is betting you won't.CGrimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03257084521984285384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823625636675642409.post-45087932713561186452008-07-06T15:08:00.000-07:002008-07-06T15:08:00.000-07:00Ya know if I was that insurance agent I would have...Ya know if I was that insurance agent I would have slapped that customer with my laptop. Just like the built in statistical advantage that casinos have, insurance companies cannot lose and individual consumers cannot possibly win. Ever.

That’s why your state government requires you to purchase insurance for your automobile. And why your mortgage company required you to purchase homeowner’s insurance.

In Massachusetts, all residents are being--or will
eventually be--required to purchase health insurance.

What an amazing racket this parasitic industry has created for itself! People are literally forced, at times under penalty of law, to purchase their product. If I manufactured buggy whips, I’d sure love to have a law requiring every vehicle to be equipped with one. And for that same government to make no effort whatsoever to make sure that those buggy whips are reasonably priced and work properly is just icing on the cake.

No wonder the rich keep getting wealthier, the poor keep sinking deeper into economic despair, and the middle class is drowning more rapidly than polar bears on globally warmed icebergs.

The lesson here is clear: Never allow the fox to guard the hen house. Never elect two oil men to run the White House. And always regulate the hell out of any industry people are forced to use. It’s just common sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823625636675642409.post-73387994752846487942008-07-03T11:16:00.000-07:002008-07-03T11:16:00.000-07:00I love all our life insurance policies, they're on...I love all our life insurance policies, they're one of the few pieces of paper we own that make me feel secure about my family's future. Best is knowing that we'll be one of the conscientious customers who've paid our dues diligently, and we'll get our entire investment back while we're still alive.

A true salesman should remind that most people cash their policies in before their full term, giving YOUR company that much more to gamble with in Vegas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823625636675642409.post-26576914513624137162008-07-03T11:15:00.000-07:002008-07-03T11:15:00.000-07:00Llll -- Still laughing. :)Llll -- Still laughing. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823625636675642409.post-62850206909975372892008-07-03T10:57:00.000-07:002008-07-03T10:57:00.000-07:00HILARIOUS!!!This one definitely made my day.
